Breast reconstruction with myocutaneous flapsThis reconstruction technique uses the own tissue to create a natural breast and it involves the mobilization or transplantation of tissues from other areas of the body such as the abdomen, back or buttocks (called autologous techniques or flaps).

In some cases these tissues or flaps remain attached to their original place and transferred to the breast through a tunnel that runs under the skin, while in others they are completely separated. Depending on the case, using an implant must be used or either not.
