Ultrasound is a technique that consists in emitting high frequency sound waves (ultrasound) that bounce when hitting the different structures and, through a computer, form an image displayed on a screen thanks to a computer system.
It’s a simple and painless test, complementary to mammography, which helps to differentiate nodules with liquid content (often benign cysts) of solid masses (which may be malignant).
